WATER
A staggering 1.2 billion people have no access to clean drinking water making provision for water amongst the most vital of all.
Every 17 seconds a child dies because they lack clean safe water and sanitation.
HAI has built thousands of hand pumps & safe water provisions worldwide. Safe water prevents diseases and saves precious lives.

Mohammad resides in a deprived village in Pakistan and lives in poverty with his large family.
With no water for drinking or domestic use women along with children had to walk miles every day in search of water.
HAI installed a hand pump in their village that provided much needed relief which resulted in improved health especially amongst children.
“Our village is located in an area with no water at all. Around 250 people live here. The hand pump by HAI is the only source fulfilling the needs of water of all the villagers. “
ORPHAN SPONSORSHIP
Human Appeal International strongly believes that every child has the right to be fed clothed sheltered have a good education and have access to sufficient medical care.
HAI have been actively looking after orphans since 1991 and with your help we are now sponsoring orphans in over 17 countries around the world.
Once the orphans’ complete their education it is a big relief for their family that they are now able to take control of their lives and have a brighter future.

Mehvish Qayyum 12 from Kashmir was orphaned at just 7 months old when her father died. His work as a farmer brought little income and with his death the family of 5 was forced further into hardship and poverty.
After being sponsored she began attending school which has given her and her family new hope for the future.
She has made friends and is learning new skills everyday.
Mehvish is expected to complete her education and be able to support herself and her mother for their future.

LIVELIHOOD PROJECT
Human Appeal’s Livelihood projects are a very successful way of reducing poverty whilst enabling families and entire villages to be self-sufficient by earning their own income.
Hundreds of projects have been implemented in poverty stricken regions within Africa Asia Europe and the Middle-East with great success.

Human Appeal provided a village in Niala (Sudan) with agricultural tools equipment livestock. Specific training was given to the villagers in regards to agriculture and how to sell their harvest in the local markets. This village was suffering with poverty.
Now the people of the village are employed through this scheme are self-sufficient and leading better lives.
They are also able to eat from what they grow.
HAI then went on to provide a permanent field hospital where the villagers are able to access regular medical care.
EMERGENCY SCHEMES
Emergency projects assist those affected from life-threatening situations and disasters.
The focus is on providing food water shelter and medical supplies immediately.
HAI teams are on the ground within hours of an emergency and after vital assessments are ready to provide immediate relief to those affected.

HAI’S EMERGENCY BREAD SCHEME
HAI began its Bread project in 2006 in Palestine (West Bank & Gaza Strip) by providing bread to thousands of families costing $10 000/day.
In 2007 HAI continued this programme in Jordan thereby feeding thousands of more suffering families. In 2008 Lebanon also benefitted from this bread distribution.
Distribution of bread is an ongoing project that has fed tens of thousands of needy families. It is one of the strengths of HAI’s charitable projects.
EDUCATION SCHEMES
Education assists in developing independence and encourages individuals and communities to learn. HAI’s education projects invest in the creation of schools sponsorships and vocational courses to improve the well-being of a society as a whole.
Human Appeal runs the following educational schemes:
-Student Sponsorship
-Provision of School Kits
-Building of Classrooms
-Building of Schools

Student Sponsorship:
Provide 5 young children with education for an entire year increasing their self-dependence and employment opportunities by ‘empowering’ them with knowledge. The donation covers their school fees equipment and necessary education materials. Give deprived children a brighter future. £300
100 School Kits for 100 beautiful little children:
Provide young children with a better future by assisting in their education and providing school kits. These kits contain school bags books and stationary. £1000
Build a Classroom:
Build a classroom for over 30 children that will be furnished with tables chairs and a whiteboard. This is in itself the provision of a long lasting service to the local area catering for hundreds of students for years to come. £3 000
Build a School:
Why not build an entire school and provide education for several generations of children in deprived communities. This school will contain about 10 classrooms a playground and toilet facilities. £50 000
MEDICAL SCHEMES
Human Appeal works actively to ensure the treatment of injured and unwell people who are unable to afford treatment and live in hardship.
Medical Aid includes all kinds of treatment and provisions depending on the need of the people.
This can range from eye treatments provisions of medicines life saving surgeries to routine checks and much more.
Our health projects greatly improve the lives of thousands of people.

Urwa a 16-year old orphan needed an operation to help restore her sight but had no funds. Loss of vision meant that she was unable to study or lead a normal life. Human Appeal was there to diagnose her sight problem and carry out 2 operations that restored Urwa’s sight. She then went back to school and continued on to complete her education.
Easing people’s pain.
Human Appeal regularly supplies 20-40ft containers to deprived areas full of medical equipment and supplies such as wheelchairs medicines & X-Ray machines. Sponsoring this container and providing these important items for communities damaged by war disease and natural disasters costs only £1 000 but saves many lives.
Field clinics cost only £3 500 but are crucial in providing essential medical aid during disasters war famine natural disasters etc strike. Therefore HAI has provided field clinics in some of the most devastated regions of the world. Many of our field clinics have hundreds of patients attending all day every day treatment of injury and disease.
