The current situation in Ethiopia’s Ogaden region is alarming drought has meant that a large Portion of the 3.5 million population is in dire need of food and water. Lack of water has seriously hampered the pastoral communities that live in the Ogaden Somali region; poor access to water has greatly affected their livestock and livelihoods.
Human Appeal International has been working in the Ogaden region of Ethiopia since 2001 providing safe water schemes medical clinics orphan sponsorship including Ramadan and Qurbani distribution.
We urgently require your help in providing food and water to the following regions: Bokh Galadin Danot and Ado of Warder.

Immediate Emergency Relief:

£30 family food parcel for 1 monthHAI aims to provide 10 tankers at a cost of £3 000 each to bring safe water to several districts for 15 days(daily cost to provide 100 households with 20 litres of water is £200). |

Long-Term Development Project:
£8 250 to provide 10 shallow wells
10 needy villages have been selected for this project. Each shallow well costing £825 this will provide safe clean drinking water for the local population and their livestock.
