Below is some information on how to spread your Zakah and Sadaqah in Ramadan:
- £10 can give an Eid gift to an unloved needy orphan.
- £25/month can sponsor a very needy orphan in a needy country.
- £30 could provide a food parcel for a family for 1 month, who survives on bread or sometimes nothing each day.
- £150 could provide a hand pump for several families, providing long-term clean & safe water.
- £300 could provide a tuck shop for a family to help them earn a livelihood, whilst also fulfilling the needs of the village so they have access to a nearby shop.
- £650 could provide a larger hand pump that provides safe and clean water for an entire village in Africa.
- £2000 could provide entire villages in Africa with safe clean water. Water is the best form of Sadaqah Jaariya. These wells are made by digging deep into the earth to provide a long-lasting supply of pure water.
- £5000 can make 25 emergency kits that are vital in times of emergencies and catastrophic disasters. These kits consist of tents, medical aid, food parcels, toiletries that are crucial to live-saving in disastrous situations.
- £10,000 could help towards developing a village by providing essentials such as: livestock (cow & sheep), farming tools and equipment (such as seeds and fertiliser) and generate a considerable harvest for over 30 families. This allows villagers to become self-dependent, maintain a livelihood whilst also providing employment opportunities for all.
- £50,000 Could build an orphanage sheltering 20 orphans until they become self reliant. This is a great Sadaqah Jariyah project as it will provide orphan care for many generations to come Insha-Allah .
