Guest Speakers
Sheikh Sa’ad Nomani
Sheikh Nomani attained a BA and MA in Islamic studies from Jamia College Darul Uloom in Karachi, Pakistan. He’s also acquired certifications from world renowned experts on recitation, such as Sheikh-ul-Qurra, Sheikh Muhammad Abdul Maajid Zakir (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia), Sheikh Shafeeq bin Muhammad Sulaiman al Qazi (Madina, Saudi Arabia), Sheikh Ehtisham-ul-Haq Bin Noor-ulhasan (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) and Sheikh Qari Muhammad Rafeeq (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia). The Sheikh is also known for being able to mimic famous reciters from around the globe.
Qari Omar Aswat
This award-winning reciter completed his Hifth studies at the tender age of 12. He’s currently studying accounting and finance and teaches Hifth and Tajweed to a range of students, as well as football coaching. Omar has represented the UK in International Qur’an Competitions worldwide, including Dubai, Egypt, Jordan and Tanzania. He was also ranked first in the European Competition in Croatia in 2009. Omar has led Taraweeh prayers in the UK, Canada, Tanzania, Dubai and India.
Sheikh Waleed Basyouni
Shaykh Basyouni is one of the most important leaders of the da‘wah in the West. He’s made numerous appearances in the media around the world, including Al-Huda Channel, Islam Channel & Peace TV. The Sheikh is also an Imām, and active member of a number of Islamic organisations and Islamic Societies, such as NAIF. He’s also a Director of the Texas Da‘wah Convention and gives fatwa as a member of the American Muslim Jurists Association (AMJA).
