With One Voice International Arts and Homelessness Summit & Festival
Love the arts? Want to help tackle homelessness? Then join us across Greater Manchester 12 -18 November
Human Appeal are proud sponsors of the With One Voice International Arts and Homelessness Summit & Festival.
This week long celebration of the best arts and homelessness projects, exhibitions and performances will showcase events across Greater Manchester and will be the host of the first ever arts and homelessness international summit. This important four-day conference will see delegates from across the planet - half of whom are or have been homeless - gathering in Manchester. Together, we will be exploring the role the arts can play in tackling homelessness in the UK and other cities, worldwide. 250 delegates are also expected to attend, and we’d like to invite you to attend too.

Tackling homelessness in the UK is a big part of Human Appeal’s UK programmes. Over the past two years, we’ve provided 25,000 homeless and extremely vulnerable people in the UK with clothes, hot food, blankets and overnight shelter. From awarding grant to Street Support Network to help extend their network of homeless charities to Greater Manchester and supporting Coffee4Craig’s winter drop in centres to our award-winning Wrap Up campaign where, last year alone, in partnership with Hands On London, the campaign collectively collected 24,124 winter coats for vulnerable people across London, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow.
Human Appeal also believes the arts can play a vital part in tackling the problem of homelessness. As well as supporting the Summit, we’ve partnered with With One Voice to fund over 30 people who are or have been homeless to take part in a public mural project in Manchester: ‘The Doodle on Ducie Street,’ which was unveiled on October 2nd.
Why you should attend
The Festival will showcase brilliant works of art, drama and music performances, exhibitions and talks and much more! All the events are free to attend and a wonderful way to spend an evening or the weekend with family and friends.
The Summit itself will also help raise awareness of just how important the arts can be in tackling homelessness by giving homeless people a voice and reducing social isolation and stigma. The event will also help to position Manchester as leading the way in the arts, innovations and tackling homelessness.
So, please come and show your support for your city, the arts, and the worldwide homelessness crisis by booking your place today.
We look forward to seeing you at the Summit & Festival!
