Andy Burnham MP helps Human Appeal distribute coats to the needy as part of our #WrapUpMCR Campaign
To end our Wrap Up Manchester campaign, Labour’s candidate for Great Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham MP came to help us distribute coats at the Barnabus homeless drop-in centre in central Manchester on Friday 2nd December.
Over the course of Wrap Up Manchester, we received more than 1,500 donated coats and other items, including jumpers, hats and scarves. These generous donations have allowed us keep some of Greater Manchester’s most vulnerable people warm during the cold winter months.
Our incredibly successful #WrapUpMCR campaign has allowed us to make a difference to the lives of people across Manchester, and the coats we collected have been distributed via drop-in centres, homeless charities.
We’d like to thank all of our amazing donors, and our partners Hands On London, Safestore, CollectPlus and wnDirect, without whom this project would never have been possible. We’d also like to thank Andy Burnham for giving up his time and getting behind this very worthy cause.
Everyone in Greater Manchester should have a warm coat this winter.
